Call for Demos

A new Demo experience

The 10th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment (November 21-23, 2018 in Guimaraes, Portugal) is a place for sharing hands-on experiences and fostering discussion of innovative smart technologies and approaches. Intetain 2018 invites demo proposals that address innovative and important topics related to Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment.

Share your innovation idea, get instant feedback from an audience of industry leaders and public officials, and transform your research project into a business idea, showcasing your demo to an audience beyond the Summit!

Submission Instructions

In order to be considered for on-site demonstration at Intetain, a PDF containing an abstract describing the Demo should be submitted via Confy, using the Springer LNICST format and a 2000 character limit. Figures and tables may be included if needed, not subject to the character limit. 

Submission deadline: 1 November 2018

Demo submissions should describe the technology that will be showcased as well as the reasoning behind it. You may find the full list of topics in the Topics section below.

Topics

  • Artificial Intelligence (Data Science, Machine Learning, Fuzzy Logic, Evolutionary Computation, Multi-Agent Systems, …) for Human Interaction or Entertainment;
  •  Artificial Intelligence (Data Science, Machine Learning, ….) in Games, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality;
  • Intelligent Human-computer Interaction (including interaction Interfaces and sensors).
  •  Other Intelligent Interaction or Entertainment Applications: smart cities, media and social media, decision-support systems, visual analytics, engineering, science, production (e.g., Industry 4.0) and marketing.

Publication

Accepted and registered Demos will be published by EAI with Open Access and showcased in EUDL – European Union Digital Library, and EAI360 – EAI’s Innovation Workbench.

Attendance

At least one author of an accepted Demo must register and present the demo at the conference venue.  Specific requirements will be arranged with presenters of accepted demos, however, demos should be self-supporting as the organizers will only be able to provide space, electricity and an internet connection.

Presentation

Accepted and registered Demos will be showcased at the venue open to the conference participants. Authors will need to be available for installation, and for facilitating interaction with their work at scheduled times during the conference.

Selection

Submissions will be evaluated and selected based on their quality, originality, and significance to the areas of interest for Intetain. Submissions outside of the conference’s Scope should justify their relevance to the main area of interest.
