Call for Late Breaking / Work in Progress
Late Breaking / Work in Progress papers should not exceed 6 pages in length including references in the Springer LNICST format. We define “late breaking” work as current work that is very new, and we define “work in progress” work as early results in new studies.
Topics of interest for INTETAIN include, but are not limited to:
- Entertainment AI: procedural content generation, agents, and machine learning
- Game and character design: tools, theories, and case studies
- Gamification and serious games: principles and applications
- Human factors: emotion, immersion, skill, and style
- Non-human agencies: media, music, robot, and animal
- Intelligent environments: ambient, virtual, and mixed reality
- Interactive media: TV, social media, art, and storytelling
- Invasion of entertainment: locative media, mobile guides, and companions
- Novel interfaces and sensors: affective, multimodal, and bodily interactions
Submissions must contain original unpublished work and may not be under consideration for any other conference or journal. All submissions will be subjected to blind review by a panel of experts and will be evaluated on the basis of originality, significance, quality of research, quality of writing, and contribution to conference program diversity. Accepted submissions will be included in the conference proceedings which will be published as part of the Springer Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering Series. If accepted at least one author must attend the conference in order to present the paper.
Late Breaking / Work in Progress submissions will be presented in a poster session, although at the discretion of the program chairs selected submissions maybe invited to present the work in one of the paper tracks as a short presentation.
