SCOPE

The International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment (INTETAIN 2015) aims to address all the issues concerning relationships between human-computer interaction and entertainment. The objective of INTETAIN 2015 is to attract high state-of-art research contributions, tutorials, and position papers that address the broad challenges faced in using innovative and interactive technologies/tools in order to create entertainment contents.

This conference aims to explore and discuss innovative studies, technologies and applications aimed to propose new interface paradigms; moreover, the conference welcomes research in progress, case studies, practical demonstrations and workshops in addition to the traditional submission categories. Original papers describing unpublished work not currently under review by any other journal, magazine, conference, special issue are solicited. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality, significance and quality of contribution.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

The event is endorsed by the European Alliance for Innovation, a leading community-based organisation devoted to the advancement of innovation in the field of ICT.

The conference will feature a Special Section on "Sensors for Entertainment" (see corresponding Special Issue below).

The authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their work to the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Creative Technologies and to the following Special Issues:

SUBMISSIONS

The Conference will be composed of several types of contributions:

  • Full Papers– These include mainly accomplished research results and have 10 pages at the maximum - will be published in proceedings.
  • Short Papers– These are mostly composed of work in progress reports or fresh developments and have 5 pages at maximum - will be published in proceedings.
  • Posters– These contain implementation information or work-in-progress and have 2 pages at maximum that will be exposed at the conference - will be published in proceedings.
  • Special Sessions– A 2 page proposal with names & bio of organizers, description of topic, explanation of relevance to INTETAIN, list of intended contributors (plus possible confirmation). Session papers: the same format as regular papers - will be published in proceedings (maximum one paper co-authored by organizers).
  • Workshops– A 1 page proposal for half-day or full day workshop with names & bio of organizers, description of topic, explanation of relevance to INTETAIN. Proposals may be accompanied by a paper or poster submission (see previous categories) to be possibly published in the proceedings after review.
  • Exhibits and Demos– A 1 page proposal with names & bios of contributors, description of the exhibit/demo, facilities/equipment needed, explanation of relevance to INTETAIN. Proposals may be accompanied by a paper or poster submission (see previous categories) to be possibly published in the proceedings after review.

 

Conference language is in English. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit full papers in PDF file format. Please visit the Submission page for detailed submission requirements and procedures.

Papers will be judged on originality, correctness, clarity and relevance. Submitted papers must be original work, and may not be under consideration for another conference or journal.

Submission of the paper implies agreement of the author(s) to attend the conference and present the paper if accepted. We reserve the right to exclude papers accepted but not presented from the conference proceedings submitted for archiving and indexing.

 

PUBLICATION

All presented papers in the conference will be published in the proceedings of the conference and submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. We reserve the right to exclude from the proceedings papers and posters accepted but not presented at the conference.

Selected papers, particularly those nominated for the Best Paper competition, will be considered for possible publication in the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Creative Technologies and in the Special Issues agreed with Entertainment Computing, Elsevier and Sensors, MDPI (see above).

The proceedings are submitted for inclusion to the leading indexing services: DBLP, Google Scholar, Thomson Scientific ISI Proceedings, EI Elsevier Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus, as well as ICST's own EU Digital Library (EUDL).
